Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White in the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting when she was in Preparatory School. At the end of the 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a semester in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in films and TV shows. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she played Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's and was later cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was given the role of Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood are also a the highlights of her career. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes The Numbered Days series, which made available in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and final break-up echoes the last years of Walter White's personal life.
