Anika Noni is an American actress and vocalist. Most famously, she is the vocalist of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog The first African American Disney Princess. The year 2011, Rose was recognised as one of the Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robertson in Dreamgirls, which won the Academy Award. Anika noni Rose is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Her most well-known role was her character Tiana the Princess from Disney. She is the first African American princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends featured her as one in 2011. Also, she has a prominent performance, in the role of Lorrell Robinson as Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2007) which received nominations for the Academy Award. And she plays LaVerne jukebox Ganner in the Starz series Power. Apart from her acting skills, she's known for the roles she played in the theater. They include Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway version of Caroline or Change (2005) where she was awarded the Tony Award Best Features Actress in A Musical was awarded as well as Beneatha in the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun (2017) where she received the Tony Award Best Features Actress in Play nominations were made.
